○以下敘述作為圖3.1之舉例：

• 神鵰俠侶為一部作品(work)，作品可通過一個或多個內容表達而實現

• 神鵰俠侶這部作品是通過小說、連續劇、漫畫、動畫等內容表達(expression)形式實現，而內容表達是由一個或多個載體所體現

• 其內容表達有不同的載體表現(manifestation)

            小說：可分為實體書本與虛擬書本(電子書，下載到閱讀器上或是在線觀看)
            連續劇：可分為實體的光碟、錄影帶與虛擬的影音網站
            漫畫：可分為實體書本與虛擬書本(電子書，下載到閱讀器上或是在線觀看)
            動畫：可分為實體的光碟、錄影帶與虛擬的影音網站

• 最後載體表現被單件(item)所代表出來，上市的光碟、出版的實體書等這些都是單件

○以下敘述作為圖3.2之舉例：

• 空中英語雜誌是一部作品，作品可以被個人(person)或團體(corporate body)所創作

 

• 空中英語有雜誌、廣播、電視節目等內容表達，內容表達可以被個人或團體所實現，ex：一篇文章可能是由個人或團體撰寫而成，多篇文章集合成冊就成了空中英語雜誌

 

• 其載體表現以被個人或團體所生產

             雜誌：可分為實體書本與虛擬書本(電子書，下載到閱讀器上或是在線觀看)

             廣播：收音機(電台)

             電視節目：可分為電視或影音網站

• 最後單件可以被個人或團體所擁有，ex：空中英語雜誌如果被一個人從書店買回家，那這本空中英語雜誌(單件)就是被這一個人(個人)擁有，如果是被圖書館買走，那麼這本單件就會被去圖書館的大眾(團體)所擁有

• 一個作品(work)可以有很多種的內容表達(expression)，ex：色戒這部電影的毛片經不同方式呈現不同的呈現方式，這些就是不同的內容表達。

• Work：a distinct intellectual or artistic creation.(獨有的知識或藝術的創作)→A work is an abstract entity; there is no single material object one can point to as the work. We recognize the work through individual realizations or expressions of the work, but the work itself exists only in the commonality of content between and among the various expressions of the work.

• Expression：the intellectual or artistic realization of a work in the form of alpha-numeric, musical, or choreographic notation, sound, image, object, movement, etc., or any combination of such forms.

• Manifestation：the physical embodiment of an expression of a work.→The entity defined as manifestation encompasses a wide range of materials, including manuscripts, books, periodicals, maps, posters, sound recordings, films, video recordings, CD-ROMs, multimedia kits, etc. As an entity, manifestation represents all the physical objects that bear the same characteristics, in respect to both intellectual content and physical form.

• Item：a single exemplar of a manifestation.

• Person：an individual→The entity defined as person encompasses individuals that are deceased as well as those that are living.

• Corporate Body：an organization or group of individuals and/or organizations acting as a unit.
